A Million Free e-Books!

Breaking News on Google Books

But of course you knew this. Good luck to all Indians searching for Playboy, Savita Bhabhi and other assorted pron.

PS: No, Flipkart still cannot send all you lovely people books in your email id(sic) or have PDFs available for free download – just because Google can.

UPDATE: Google Brought To Book Over Digital Library

Ask any Tabloidish newspaper journalist about how much Editors hound them for “witty, attention, eyeball grabbing headlines”. Most of them get churned out like the one above.

PPS: See, here’s why we can’t offer you free books in your inbox no matter how much you plead.

In our hostel, it has been a long time since we are purchasing the books from Flipkart. Reasons being quite simple :
    1) Discounted rates
    2)No shipping charges
    3)Prompt delivery.
I won’t say this sets apart Flipkart completely from other online bookstores. For instance, I have also being purchasing books from Landmarkonthenet.com since long time. Good things about it were :
    1) Lower rates (yeah, Landmarkonthenet’s rates are lower than Flipkart, but then they used to add that Rs. 30 shipping charges making it Rs. 10-15 costlier than Flipkart). Fortunately, they have scrapped the shipping charges till August 31. And i must admit, though i appreciate Flipkart, Landmark here wins the game. It too has good service and prompt delivery. It just lacked over price front, but it is now winning over it.

As a well wisher of Flipkart, i suggest you to look into this matter.

How can you even expect to be the Amazon of India??? With a blog and articles like this you are not giving out a very professional appearance…. You may not be a big corporation but on your way to becoming one atleast try to act like one….

I purchased the books from landmarkonthenet.com in the last week. They have taken out the shipping cost. Now the book price is less than the flipkart store. Mr Mitesh Puri Please check the landmarkonthenet.com and flipkart.com price and buy the books.

I tried both landmarkonthenet and flipkart. But i am pretty much impressed by the flipkart because they take lesser time to deliver the books than the landmarkonthenet and also i found the prices of most of the books cheaper in flipkart than the landmarkonthenet.

Flipkart is a better choice in the sense that they have a wider collection of all sorts of books. Moreover they offer free shipping to even remotest parts of India provided the price of the book ordered is >= Rs. 100.
I personally ordered two books viz., 1.Toxicology by PD Shama and 2.Principles & Dynamics of Photogeology on Flipkart. These books were not available with Landmark
